The Point Roberts-Tsawwassen border crossing is simply done with sufficient identification. As of June 1st 2009, new regulations for crossing the borders are as follows:

Accepted identification for Canadian Citizens:

Government of Canada issued Passport
A valid trusted traveler program card (NEXUS, FAST, or SENTRI)
Enhanced Drivers License

Accepted identification for US Citizens:

US Government issued Passport or Passport Card
A valid trusted traveler program card (NEXUS, FAST, or SENTRI)
Enhanced Drivers License
US Military ID with official travel orders
US Merchant Mariner document
